Riad Charai was yet another hidden little gem of a boutique hotel from Chic Retreats.
Tucked away in the North of the Medina, behind a beautiful wooden door leading to an oasis of calm.
A small riad, only 8 tastefully decorated rooms, some with sunken baths, some with balconies, but all individual and stunning.
In the courtyard you will find orange trees which combine well with the high walls to increase the feeling of tranquility and peace. There are alcoves to further protect you from the heat of the North African sun, and the pool is larger than most riads you will find.
The staff at Riad Charai are what adds value to this Marrakech riad, warm and friendly, professional with an ability to pop out from nowhere when you seem to need something.
The only downside of this riad is the location, getting to and from the square can be a little hair raising for Marrakech novices.
